Quinta da Saudade is ideally suited for the keen bird watcher, with a wealth of local species, including: Purple Heron, Little Bittern, Hoopoe, Alpine Swift, Bee-eater, Red-necked Nightjar, Azure-winged Magpie, Little Owl, Spotted Fly Catcher, Cattle Egret, Little Egret, Greater Flamingoe, Black-winged Stilt, Red-cheeked Waxbill and many more.
