The Algarve has a wealth of attractions suitable for all the family, and are recommended days out when the basking in the sun is just too much!

Zoo Marine - This educational oceangraphic park is ideal for all the family, it is strongly aimed at conservation while at the same time being great fun. The park has seals, sharks, turtles, exotic birds, seabirds, alligators, tropical fish, and offers the opportunity to swim with dolphins. There are also theme rides. This is a hugely popular attraction, only a 5 minute drive from Quinta da Saudade.

The Big One/Aqualand - A water park situated close by and containing rides for all the family, including the highest water slide in Portugal.

Slide and Splash - This water park is reputed to be one of the biggest in Europe, with a variety of rides for all the family.

KrazyWorld -  A zoo aimed at families, with snakes, crocs, alligators and funfair rides. There is also a petting farm with, amongst others, llamas, wallabies and camels!

Lagos Zoo - A zoo set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens, with over 120 species of animals, including apes, exotic birds and a childrens farm. (This website is all in Portuguese - for a literal translation using google click here)
